How To: Install.jar Mods

The way you describe how to install Java mods is incorrect. The reason is that if you place the java file in the mod folder, it will only function as a basic mode unless another mod is installed in another section of the ".minecraft." folder. What I mean by this is:

1. Copy/cut the jar files, but don’t paste them yet. Open the folder for versions, and create an entirely new folder. Copy the jar file into the folder you created. Copy the jar file to the folder once more and paste it using an alternative name 5. Open the jar file with notepad, copy all of the text and close the file. Delete the copied file 7. Create an entirely new file (mostly a text file) and name it exactly like the Jar file 8. Save the file with the same name as the jar files as a.json. Open the json file with Notpad and copy the next one 10.  Minecraft-servers Launch the launcher and select the mod you want to "made."

10,5. If this doesn't work, follow these steps: Open the versions folder and select the folder you don't require (if the mod is running 1.7.10 it is necessary to locate a folder that runs the 1.7.10 Minecraft version 12. Paste the jar file into the folder you've selected and change the name exactly as the json file is named 13. Launch the launcher, and then select the version

If you are unable to locate the folder you're looking for, go back to the versions folder and look for it the folder after the last edit and change the name to whatever you like. I suggest that you change the name of all files in that folder to exactly the same name as the folder.
